Mr. Yamamoto, a student from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies majoring in African Studies, kindly shared with us scenes from Kazengo Primary School in Mzimba, Northern Malawi.
Seibo provides school meals to children at 12 primary schools in Northern Malawi, offering both breakfast and lunch.
The video shows the lunchtime scene, where local mothers volunteer to serve “Likuni Phala,” a nutritious porridge made from maize, to the children. You can also see videos of the children expressing their gratitude for the meals in the classroom and sharing what they have learned.
Additionally, the video captures various voices from the community — about the school uniform system, the children’s dreams, and what motivates them to study.
One elementary school student has written her dialy based on the experience of this tour.
Please take a moment to watch the video and see the reality of the school for yourself.
