EISU Marche Held at Eisu Gakkan Junior and Senior High School

On March 18, 2025, “EISU Marche” was held at Eisu Gakkan Junior and Senior High School in Fukuyama City. Many local community members attended, making it a valuable opportunity for students to present the results of their inquiry-based learning.

Among the various exhibits, the booth titled “Supporting Africa Together with Local Businesses” attracted significant attention. Students collaborated with local businesses to sell Malawian coffee. Visitors were invited to sample the coffee while students carefully explained how the sales directly contribute to school meal support for children in Malawi. Many attendees resonated with the cause and purchased coffee to support the initiative.

Expanding the Circle of Support Through Malawian Coffee – Collaboration with NPO Seibo
NPO Seibo is dedicated to providing school meals for children in Malawi. Through EISU Marche, students at Eisu Gakkan High School gained a deeper understanding of this support system and actively engaged in selling coffee in partnership with local businesses. A portion of the proceeds was allocated to meal support, creating a meaningful impact on children in Malawi, despite the geographical distance.

Empowering High School Students to Drive Social Change – Inquiry-Based Learning as Career Education
Through this project, students grew beyond being mere consumers, taking on an active role in addressing social issues. By collaborating with local businesses, they gained business insights and developed a stronger awareness of contributing to society. This experience was invaluable in shaping their understanding of social entrepreneurship.
