At Shizuoka Prefecture’s Yaizu Chuo High School, students achieved sales equivalent to providing approximately 3,000 meals for local school lunches through the sale of Malawian coffee! The students involved showed great interest in making and serving coffee themselves, and with the support of their teachers, they were able to offer well-balanced hot and cold brew coffee.

For the students, ensuring a consistently good flavor for their customers wasn’t an easy task. However, learning about fair trade coffee that supports Malawi’s school meals and delving into coffee research further has been truly rewarding.
