We conducted a workshop at Yokohama Aoba Campus of Clark Memorial International High School, aimed at Interact Club members, to learn about Malawi and to brainstorm ways for students to get involved in supporting it. Similarly, collaborative events were organized with Seiko Gakuin High School, Senzoku Gakuen Junior and Senior High School, and Kanto Gakuin Mutsuura High School. These events facilitated by an NPO enabled inter-school exchanges and generated numerous ideas.
Staff members from the NPO, Seibo, including university students, participated in group activities where they explored methods to support Malawi through business and other approaches, as well as strategies for understanding and communicating about poverty. Significant time was dedicated to understanding Warm Hearts Coffee Club, a brand of Seibo, focusing on fair-trade coffee, and discussing how students can engage in international trade and contribute to the flow of donations to the local community.
Please find the details about the activy from here.
We hope to further increase opportunities for collaboration as we move forward towards development!
