On the 5th December, 2022 we were honoured to receive a Social Contribution Award from the Foundation for Social Contribution (FESCO). It was both a surprise and an honour to receive the award for our work as Seibo Japan. On this occasion the awards body took into consideration not only our vital school feeding work in Japan but also our outreach work with Japanese schools & companies through the means of charity coffee events, workshops and presentations. Of course we wouldn’t have been able to take to the stage in the first place without your help. Thank you!
About the Social Contribution Awards
The Social Contribution Awards are given on an annual basis to ‘social contributors’ deemed to have made significant contributions to the well-being of society and people in various fields of society, whose work goes largely unnoticed & unrewarded.
Seibo’s Future Ambitions
Seibo exists in Japan to fund school feeding in Malawi. Our mission is to raise awareness among Japanese people as to the real need for a school meal for vulnerable children, and to work together to help those most in need.
In addition, through practical learning modules in Japanese school classrooms, we also introduce real life examples of how global issues such as hunger and poverty can be solved. Seibo’s school partnerships not only provide a learning experience for students but also lead to lasting change in Malawi. In the same way we work with Japanese corporations to raise awareness among consumers as to the importance of everyday choices and we work with companies who also want to do good while doing business.
It’s not every day we get to share our story on stage but thanks to you and your enduring support we could. Thank you again!
