Seibo Japan Brings Malawian Coffee to Expo 2025 Osaka – Supporting School Meals, One Cup at a Time

Seibo Japan, an NPO dedicated to supporting school feeding programs in Malawi, has officially launched its booth at the Malawi Pavilion of Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai, beginning April 17. Through this initiative, the organization is showcasing Malawian coffee that directly contributes to feeding children in schools across the country.

The coffee served at the pavilion is sourced from the Mzuzu Coffee Planters Cooperative Union, a respected coffee producers’ group in Malawi. With the support of Ataka Trading Co., Ltd., Seibo has been working to expand the Japanese market for Malawian coffee.

The greater the demand for this ethically sourced coffee, the more sustainable support can be provided for Malawi’s school meal programs—helping to build a better future for children through education and nutrition.

Expo 2025 will run until October 2025, offering Seibo a unique opportunity to introduce Japan and the world to the richness of Malawi—both in its culture and its coffee. Seibo hopes that many visitors will not only discover the beauty of Malawi but also taste the coffee and become part of a global movement that turns every cup into a gift of nourishment and hope.
