July “NSIMA” Party- Join Us!
On the 16th of July the Malawi Society of Japan in conjunction with the Embassy of Malawi in Japan are hosting a truly unique event- a Nsima eating party!
Nsima- the traditional dish of Malawi is made from maize and enjoyed almost
daily by the adult population. Usually served with leafy green vegetables cooked with tomatoes – not to mention BEANS or when available with meat – but it is always the centre-piece of all celebrations!
On July 16th the celebration will be in Tokyo at JICA’s “Chikyu Hiroba” in Ichigaya
which can be accessed at: http://www.jica.go.jp/hiroba/about/map.html
From 2:30 to 4 pm there will be presentations on Malawi on the 6th floor but the real fun takes place from 16:15 to 17:45 where you will get a taste for Malawi.
The location is J’s Cafe and the entrance fee is JPY 3,000
Spaces are limited so register your interest by the end of June at info@japan-malawi.org
Hope to see you there 😉
