September was a time of preparation for Seibo, as the new school term was about to begin. Many updates were made in anticipation of the future, and here are some significant changes that we would like to share with everyone in Japan!
Relocation of Seibo’s Office in Northern Mzimba
Until now, Seibo has been using a small office provided free of charge within the District Education Manager’s (DEM) office building in Mzimba Boma. However, there were challenges due to limited space, making it difficult to accommodate staff and furniture. On September 14th, a vacant space was identified within the Red Cross building, prompting the relocation of Seibo’s office in Mzimba.
Improvement in Communication Infrastructure
On September 24th, Starlink was introduced by the staff. This is a product of SpaceX, offering high-speed WIFI connectivity that can be installed anywhere on Earth. The gadgets were unpacked, all computers were connected, and the speed and bandwidth were significantly high and impressive.
This has improved connectivity with Mzimba, allowing the PR personnel to conduct online meetings seamlessly and transmit high-resolution videos and photos much faster than before. We hope that this will also facilitate smoother communication with Japan in the future.
