Iwakura High School Design Competition 2024
Date:2024.09.04

In Iwakura High School in Taito Ward, Tokyo, Seibo’s coffee brand, Warm Hearts Coffee Club, is being branded and sold at school to support their unique activities. As part of this initiative, a design competition was held where students competed and sharpened their marketing skills, considering Malawi and their target audience.

The competition yielded meaningful results, with each of the four teams presenting creative ideas and explaining their design backgrounds. While one design was selected as the top choice, all designs will be utilized in different contexts going forward.

This process highlights how ideas from high school students can have the power to impact Malawi and gain acceptance among many people. Judges on the day included Seibo staff who volunteer as international development consultants, Seibo student staff, and high school students participating in our social business course, ensuring evaluations from diverse age groups and maximizing learning outcomes.

Following this competition, plans include presenting their learning at the school’s cultural festival sales, deepening communication with people in Malawi, and further advancing international understanding and activities.
