Kanazawa Seiryo University Circle FTGs (Fair Trade as a Global Commons) has been collaborating with Seibo and Warm Hearts Coffee Club (Seibo’s coffee donation sales brand).
We’ve received the following report from the university students! We’d like to introduce their unique and enjoyable initiative in international support!
Original Label Creation Experience Booth
We, FTGs, opened a booth for creating original labels. When participants joined, we explained that the Fair Trade coffee from Warm Hearts Coffee is from Malawi and that 100% of the sales are used to support school meals. We also prepared a map of Malawi and made efforts to convey the information in a way that would arouse interest.
Participants who listened to the explanation had their own questions from various perspectives, such as “What kind of country is Malawi?” and “Is school lunch not a given?” It seemed that their interest in Fair Trade had increased slightly.
First and foremost, we, FTGs, believe that raising awareness is the most important aspect of solving Fair Trade issues. Therefore, with the cooperation of Warm Hearts Coffee this time, we are very happy to have been able to spread awareness about Fair Trade to as many people as possible. We will continue our activities, so we appreciate your continued support.
We received these words above. We are also honored to be involved in such student initiatives. Please continue to support us in the future.
