Seibo is expanding support for kindergartens in the south and primary schools in the north. Meal support contributes to improving the quality of education and ensuring smooth conditions, thereby enhancing children’s learning. To further improve these efforts, Seibo has introduced learning tablets alongside meals.
The tablets, called Early Learning Kiosks, are curriculum programs taught in nurseries by nursery caregivers using tablet devices similar to mobile phones. Seibo received tablet donations from the General Incorporated Association Early Childhood Development Center Association and conducted training on tablet usage for all nursery caregivers at CBCCs.
Training began on January 19th and lasted until January 23rd. Mentors from Mlambe, Tawina, Tikondane, Chilingani, and Chiutsa Ndeu schools participated in the training and then trained the remaining caregivers at their schools. Seibo’s local staff facilitated the training, addressing issues such as registering students in the curriculum, teaching the curriculum, and engaging students in sampling activities during lessons.
Experts were hired to translate the curriculum content from English to Chichewa to make it easier for nursery children to understand. These tablets provide nursery children at CBCCs with education of equivalent quality to that of urban and private school children.
