A Message for Ex-Children

This Sunday is OUR Day- You’ve had YOURS!
International Childrens Day, Nov 20th 2016
Seibo is a Japanese registered NGO with an aim to feed every hungry child in the world a hot meal at school
We ALL Have One Thing in Common
We were all born as children.  Most of us enjoyed a childhood and some of us even look back at school days as the “best days of our life”.  The United Nations estimates more than 260 million children are out of school.  International Children’s Day asks us to think what we as ex-children can do for these little ones.

What YOU (an ex-child) can DO?
If you thought you had the means to encourage a child in one of the poorest countries in the world to attend school would you act? We’re pretty confident you would but it would depend on what is being asked of you. If we told you the cost of one meal to a child attending school in Malawi was 15 yen and you had the means would you give?

That 15 Yen is YOURS but it can DO so much
Of course you could spend your money other ways. That’s your freedom as an adult. But by helping Seibo fund a school meal for a hungry child you help make school days the best day of the lives of children who without this meal in their life have to forage for or grow their own food. That is not how a childhood should be.

Through school feeding we can change our world.
School feeding carries many benefits- education, nutrition and health, gender equality, food security, poverty alleviation- in one single meal. The world would be changed if every hungry child in it were to receive a meal at school.

How To Help?
For 15 yen you feed 1 child 1 meal per day
For 3,000 yen* you feed that child for one year
3,000 Yen: 26 Euros/27 Dollars/22 Pounds (average November 2017)
