Due to restrictions in place to stop the spread of Coronavirus, school feeding at our Primary school partners in Northern Malawi is currently suspended. In consultation with our school partners, local communities and the Malawian Government Seibo was urged to continue providing food to registered students as issues of hunger and deprivation are on the rise.
Over the period June 16th-18th our team visited the Kaphuta region in Northern Malawi where they distributed much-welcome 5kgs of foodstuff to each student. In addition to food stocks already in storage at schools & thanks to YOUR kindness an additional 23.2 tonnes of food was shipped north from Blantyre in the south. In addition to the food packs our team also distributed buckets for use when hand-washing and other essential items. While we hope and pray for better days when schools can resume offering a school meal to all students who attend school we are grateful that your support enables Seibo to continue its work of feeding those most in need of a hot daily meal. Thank you!
