This nursery is set up in Chilomoni Christ Church. The building is well-built, good roof with secure doors and windows. There is room for high energy activities, such as jumping and small running exercises The resources available include books and soft toys.
The number of children at the beginning of semester was 19.
On the 9 October this year, however, there were 11 present (7 boys and 4 girls).
The remaining 8 children were absent due to unpaid fees.
Ages range from 3 to 5 ½ years old.
Fees are priced at 2000 kwacha for 3 year olds and 2500 kwacha for 4 and 5 year olds.
There were 2 members of staff on duty.
This nursery, despite being in a good building and having great facilities and a good teacher
to child ratio, is not officially registered as a nursery in Chilomoni.
If the children eat during the day it consists of snacks they bring with them from home.
A water source is available off site here. There is not much storage space, but there is area for preparation outside.
The Monday routine at Ebeneeza goes as follows: Registration, singing, days of the week, months in the year, 5 senses, bible reading – break – poems and singing, reading – lunch – circle time, animals, numbers, alphabet – end of day.
Open Monday to Thursday 8am- 3pm. Friday up to midday.
Update: Sadly on the 20th of August 2020 we received written notification from the Nursery Director, Mrs. Dorothy Tikiwa, that the school was facing some issues which means they can no longer remain in business. Seibo will continue to provide support to the most needy kids with necessary support through the Seibo Kids Programme.
