The students of Miyazaki Gakuen’s Interact Club, once again this time through sales of Ecobags produced by tailors in Malawi, made a donation in July the equivalent of more than 8,000 school meals for use by our partner schools in Malawi. On behalf of the children of Malawi, we thank you for your amazing efforts and continued support for Seibo!
We at Seibo Japan were also privileged to have an opportunity to speak with the students online regarding life in Malawi, its unique culture and also to explain in detail how our school feeding programme works. At the end of our presentation, the students asked if Malawi produced Ecobags and if it were possible to oraganise a fundraising sales event of these items. Needless to say, we were delighted with the proposal and reached out to our UK-based charity partners at Cycle of Good. They in turn put is in contact with their tailors in Malawi and we were able to provide the following Tote Bag for the students to sell!
We look forward to working with the students of Miyazaki Gakuen’s Interact Club over the coming months and have plans for another, unique coffee collaboration. We are humbled and honoured to work with young people who have a passion for making a difference in our world. Words are not sufficient to thank you for directly providing food for those without. May God bless you!
