On March 31, 2024, we collaborated with Rizapro Co., Ltd. for an extracurricular activity program with elementary, middle, and high school students.
Elementary school students pondered together the importance of school meals in Africa, while middle and high school students explored their career paths, authenticity, and connections with domestic international support, discovering their aspirations. They learned about marketing and sales through actual sales activities.
In the video, we showcase the presentation of coffee and Malawi by elementary school students. We look forward to continued collaboration with everyone!
Elementary School Classes and Practice
We conducted a 3-hour online class and a simple workshop.
-Importance of Malawi and school meals
-Origin and characteristics of coffee products
-What can you buy in Japan for 15 yen? (Using snacks as specific examples)
-Preparation for sales
(creating illustrations and text for POP and announcements based on class content)
-Actual sales (we sold products in Kagurazaka, Tokyo)
Seibo Student Volunteers
Students from Seibo, including university staff from Sophia University and high school students from Koshio Girls’ Academy, participated. The opportunity for elementary school students to university students to engage in activities with the same purpose allowed for the practice of teamwork, which was a significant learning experience!
Seibo’s Educational Initiatives
Currently, Seibo is increasing its partnerships with private schools. Through workshops, online exchanges with local and supporting company staff, coffee sales, and other activities, we are conducting inquiry-based learning. We would be delighted to collaborate with educational institutions, teachers, and anyone interested in our activities.
