↑第2回目の様子

光塩女子学院の特別講座である「国際NPOせいぼの活動に参加してみよう！」では、6月19日と26日の2回にわたり、りそなホールディングス サステナビリティ推進室の吉本圭吾様をお招きしました。

NPO法人せいぼでは、昨年度から光塩女子学院で特別講座を担当しています。

今回の授業では、吉本様から企業のサステナビリティやCSR（企業の社会的責任）についてより詳しく学ぶ事を目的としました。

 

事前学習（6/5）

事前学習として、吉本様から事前にいただいた資料を基に、高校3年生の2人が授業を行いました。

まず、CSRや企業に求められることについて、中高生にも分かりやすいように説明しました。

その後、CSR調達を学ぶ教材である「Game of Choice」を行いました。

企業チーム、株主チーム、小売店チームなど、それぞれの立場に分かれて、CSR調達の問題を考えました。

議論はとても盛り上がり、初めて学んだCSRやサステナビリティについて身近に感じることが出来ました。

この日の授業内容は吉本様にも確認していただき、お褒めの言葉をいただきました。

 

第1回目の授業（6/19）

第1回目の授業では吉本様からCSR調達、主に人権について学びました。

初めに、事前学習で学んだCSRの概念から復習し、大量生産・大量消費の現状から、将来の予測や課題を事例とともに理解しました。

その後、児童労働や強制労働の現状について学びました。契約工場で起きた児童労働の問題を、企業がどのように対処したのかを解説していただきました。

実は身近な製品や企業も、児童労働に関わっているのかも、、といったような事例は学生にとって非常に分かりやすく、SDGsクイズなども交えながら楽しく学ぶことが出来ました。

 

第2回目の授業（6/26）

第2回目の授業では前回に引き続きCSR調達、特に企業の環境責任について学びました。

初めに、地球温暖化の影響による環境問題の現状や予測を勉強しました。

海面上昇や食糧不足、生態系の破壊など考えうる未来について議論を深めました。

その後、「Game of Choice」と同じように環境問題を引き起こしている工場と取引している企業に対してどのように対応するか、生徒たちで議論し発表しました。

生徒は議論を重ねながら、真剣に考えていました。

今回もSDGsクイズや話し合いの時間なども交えながら、楽しく詳しく学ぶ事が出来ました。First Lesson

↑Second Lesson
In the special course at Koen Girls’ Junior and Senior High School, titled “Let’s Participate in the Activities of the International NGO Seibo!”, we invited Mr. Keigo Yoshimoto from Resona Holdings’ Sustainability Promotion Office on June 19 and 26.

Since last year, NPO Seibo has been responsible for this special course at Koen Girls’ Junior and Senior High School

The purpose of this class was to learn more about corporate sustainability and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) from Mr. Yoshimoto.

Pre-Learning (6/5)

As part of the pre-learning, two third-year high school students conducted a class based on the materials provided in advance by Mr. Yoshimoto.

First, they explained CSR and what is expected from companies in a way that was easy for middle and high school students to understand.

Then, they engaged in a learning activity called “Game of Choice,” which focuses on CSR procurement.

Divided into teams such as corporate teams, shareholder teams, and retail teams, they examined the issues surrounding CSR procurement.

The discussion was very lively, and students felt a closer connection to CSR and sustainability, which they were learning about for the first time.

The content of this day’s class was also reviewed by Mr. Yoshimoto, who praised their efforts.

First Class (6/19)

In the first class, we learned about CSR procurement, mainly focusing on human rights.

We began by reviewing the concept of CSR learned in the pre-learning and understanding the current status of mass production and consumption, along with future predictions and challenges through case studies.

Then, we studied the current situation regarding child labor and forced labor. Mr. Yoshimoto explained how companies have addressed the issues of child labor in contracted factories.

Examples that suggested even familiar products and companies might be involved with child labor were very enlightening for the students, and they learned in an enjoyable way, incorporating quizzes on the SDGs.

Second Class (6/26)

In the second class, we continued learning about CSR procurement, particularly focusing on corporate environmental responsibility.

We began by studying the current situation and predictions of environmental problems caused by global warming.

We deepened our discussions about potential future issues such as rising sea levels, food shortages, and ecosystem destruction.

Following this, similar to the “Game of Choice,” students discussed how to respond to companies dealing with factories that are causing environmental problems and presented their findings.

The students engaged seriously in the discussions.

Once again, we incorporated SDGs quizzes and discussion time, making the learning both enjoyable and in-depth.
