On November 2–3, 2024, we joined the JRC Club and Home Economics Club from Tokushima City High School in selling Malawian coffee and donuts at the Tanuki Festival in Tokushima City, Tokushima Prefecture. Tokushima City places a strong emphasis on ethical education, fostering connections between universities, high schools, and the local community. We hope that supporting children in Malawi can, in turn, benefit local children here and potentially promote Tokushima’s local specialties alongside these efforts.

The students participated enthusiastically, sharing with visitors that the proceeds contribute to school meal support. The donuts we sold together with the coffee were also very well-received! We look forward to expanding such activities in the future.
