On October 19, 2024, Eisu Gakkan High School, a private school in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, participated in the “Ultra Romantic Halloween” event along with Piton, a local coffee roasting shop in Fukuyama. During the event, high school students produced and sold coffee made from Malawian beans, based on a brewing method taught by Piton.

I felt that this activity, which connects local businesses and people with international support, is incredibly creative and wonderful.

Through the sales of the coffee, we are honored that the proceeds will contribute to school meal support in Malawi and revitalization of the local community. Moving forward, the school plans to collaborate with Piton to develop an original blend of coffee, combining Malawian beans with their expertise.
