As part of an initiative to raise awareness of the FairTrade label students of Hyuga Gakuin High School in Miyazaki Prefecture organised an event under the auspices of the ‘Your Bible Project’. As part of the event the students sold coffee from Malawi to raise funds for vital school meals in partnership with Seibo.
On the 17th of July the students sold the coffee on campus to parents, guardians and staff and in so doing raised the equivalent of 18,000 school meals for Malawi! Thanks to their efforts many people came to know about the country of Malawi and were delighted to learn how the proceeds of coffee sales were being used. From all of us at Seibo on behalf of the children of Malawi we say thank you!
