Charity Event with Brother Corp.
Date:2024.06.29

On June 16, 2024, at Brother Sales Co., Ltd.’s Brother Tokyo Showroom (Kyobashi), we held a workshop to create T-shirts featuring the Seibo Japan student team logo.

This workshop was made possible through an introduction by Mirasas Co., Ltd., which engages in media business and student organization event management toward a “sustainable future.”

Purpose of the Event

The majority of Seibo Japan staff members are university and high school students. As a new identity for the student team, we designed a new logo inspired by the Seibo original logo and used it to create T-shirts.

During the workshop, we learned about various issues surrounding the fashion industry, including environmental and human rights issues, as well as Brother Group’s efforts in addressing these challenges. We also learned about the environmental considerations of the T-shirts we used, utilizing Brother Industries’ printers to create T-shirts.

Staff Feedback
Thanks to Brother’s cooperation, not only did we create Seibo’s original T-shirts for the first time, but we also learned about social issues such as mass consumption and environmental destruction surrounding the apparel industry. We realized the impact of developed countries like ours on many developing countries and the importance of responsibly producing and consuming goods. I want to rethink my consumption habits and avoid unnecessary shopping as much as possible following this experience.
M.S., First Year University Student

Through the workshop, I not only made T-shirts but also learned about Brother’s environmental initiatives. By wearing the completed T-shirts, I feel more connected and conscious about the environment, ready to approach our future activities with greater awareness!
K.K., Third Year University Student

Finally, we express our gratitude to Brother Sales Co., Ltd. and Mirasas Co., Ltd. for providing us with this valuable opportunity. Wearing the same clothes has strengthened our sense of unity and has become a catalyst for more dedicated engagement in our future activities.
