No. of Students: 310
School Feeding Start Date: 13th September 2016
Located in Chikondawonga Village, Cham’ngulube Primary is a small school by Malawian standards. Located 8km off the main Mzimba road it is surrounded by 9 x villages and has 7 qualified teachers.
A school feeding “launch” held on the 13th of September was attended by 10 x village headmen as well as 20 women volunteers who received training from Seibo on how to use a rocket stove, etc.
15th February 2017: A report sent following a visit to Cham’ngulube Primary by the Seibo team in Malawi stated that enrollment had risen to over 370 learners. As promised the community also had employed a guard who was being paid by local village heads. The volunteer-cooks start cooking at 3 am to ensure the children are fed by 6:30 am but as numbers are increasing and the school has only 1 rocket-stove they were concerned. The Seibo team ensured they would look to find another rocket stove for this school.
