Donate Your Time and Skills to Support Children in Malawi

Seibo is working with a diverse group of members across Japan to provide school meals for children in Malawi, Africa. Our team includes students, working professionals, part-time staff, and international interns, each contributing their skills and experiences to support our mission.
We welcome volunteers as “Ambassador Members”, encouraging them to take an active role in expanding our efforts. Volunteer activities vary widely and include:
Sharing our mission through social media management
Raising awareness through school lessons and event coordination
Supporting school meal programs by selling coffee at events
Reporting and maintaining communication with Malawi
No matter your background or expertise, there’s a place for you to make a difference. Join us in creating a better future for children in Malawi!

Real Voice
I first learned about Africa’s poverty issues in high school and wanted to get involved. That’s when I found a volunteer opportunity at Rikkyo University and decided to join, especially since I was interested in supporting African children and coffee. What I love about Seibo is that you can get involved and make a difference while using your own skills and interests. Through my work in education, I’ve been able to share my passion for raising awareness about poverty and refugees. Seibo gives everyone a chance to shine in their own way. Want to join us and make an impact?

Shion Oki (Undergraduate Student)

Activities
As part of the “Nimaime-no-meishi (Second Business Card)” project, which is a project where people join as volunteers for a designated period, she worked to make Seibo Japan’s membership system more active. She came up with an action plan that used her strengths as a student. At her own university, she organized workshops to help people understand and learn more about Malawi and Seibo Japan’s work, from an international social welfare perspective. The workshops included a photo-voice activity with pictures of kids from Malawi, which sparked interest in social business and encouraged volunteering.

Satoshi Mishima (Working Professional)

Activities
As part of the “Nimaime-no-meishi (Second Business Card)” project, Satoshi helped work on revitalizing Seibo Japan’s membership system. He proposed and implemented action plans using frameworks such as customer journey maps.

Real Voice
I started getting involved with the idea that “profits from selling coffee in Japan will help provide school meals for kids in Africa.” Working with students from different backgrounds, I found myself breaking out of my own comfort zone and challenging myself in ways I hadn’t before. It’s been an eye-opening experience. Want to rediscover something new about yourself?
