2024年6月も、マラウイ北部南部では皆様のおかげで学校給食を提供することができました。

以下で、中心ンとなるレポートを載せさせて頂きます！
北部ムジンバ地区
・Kaphuta（カプータ）小学校
● 毎日の給食を食べれることによって、子供達が毎日元気に授業に参加ができて
います
● リスクを防ぐために、衛生状況に細心の注意を払いながら、調理がボランティア
によって行われています
● 6月21日には、衛生状態や子どもたちの健康状態に関して、ムジンバ地区学校栄
養コーディネーターの視察と監督を受けました
・Chabere（チャベレ） 小学校
● この学校は最も田舎に位置するの学校の一つであるため、教育をそれほど重視
していませんでしたが、学校給食支援が子供たちを学校に送り出す理由になって
います
● 課題の一つとして急激に生徒数が増加しているためキッチンでの事故のリスクが
高まっています。こうしたリスク軽減のための支援も今後行なっていく予定です
Kanyere（カニェーレ）小学校
● この学校も私たちの拠点から遠い場所に位置する学校で、女子生徒の高い登録
率・出席率を記録しています。女子が教育を受けることができることによって、男
女平等のが促進されています。この学校で教えている先生は「女子に教育を施す
ことは、世界全体を教育すること」と述べています。
● また6月21にムジンバ地区学校栄養コーディネーターの視察と監督を受けました
・Kazomba（カゾンバ）小学校
● 「子ども達の健康が劇的に改善しています。学校給食のおかげで以前のように定
期的に病気になる生徒がいなくなりました。」- カゾンバ小学校副校長
・St. Paul’s（セント・ポール）小学校
● 「以前までは子ども達は授業に興味を全然持っていませんでした。多くの場合、彼らは外で遊ぶために授業をサボっていましたが、今では給食があるので、授業に出席するようになりました」-セント・ポール小学校教師
南部ブランタイヤ地区
・Holy Cross（ホーリー・クロス）幼稚園
写真は、学校給食の調理のためにストーブに火をつけている様子。
環境のために可能な限り伐採は行わず落枝などを活用しています。
また、上記の写真給食を準備しているお母さんの様子です。
給食を調理するにあたって、十分な栄養分の確保のために配合する分量などを正確に測っています。

以上の写真は、子供たちに栄養がもたらされることを知っているため、愛情込めて準備するボランティアの顔には、笑顔が浮かんでいます。

Northern Mzimba District
Kaphuta Elementary School
By providing daily meals, children are able to participate energetically in classes every day.
To prevent risks, cooking is done by volunteers with careful attention to hygiene.
On June 21, they received inspection and supervision from the Mzimba District School Nutrition Coordinator regarding hygiene and the health of the children.
Chabere Elementary School
As this school is located in one of the most rural areas, education was not emphasized, but school meal support has become a reason for children to attend school.
One of the challenges is the rapid increase in student numbers, leading to increased risks of accidents in the kitchen. Support to mitigate these risks is planned for the future.
Kanyere Elementary School
This school also is located far from our base and records high enrollment and attendance rates among female students. This promotes gender equality by ensuring girls receive education. Teachers here believe “educating girls is educating the whole world.”
They also received inspection and supervision from the Mzimba District School Nutrition Coordinator on June 21.
Kazomba Elementary School
“Children’s health has dramatically improved. Thanks to school meals, students no longer get sick as often as before.” – Vice Principal of Kazomba Elementary School.
St. Paul’s Elementary School
“Previously, the children showed no interest in classes. Often, they would skip classes to play outside. Now, with meals available, they attend classes.” – Teacher at St. Paul’s Elementary School.
Southern Blantyre District
Holy Cross Kindergarten
The photo shows starting a fire on the stove for cooking school meals. They utilize fallen branches to minimize cutting for environmental conservation.
Another photo depicts mothers preparing school meals with careful measurement to ensure sufficient nutrition.
Makwika Kindergarten
